This first run of a 3-part online workshop targets English-speaking Buddhists and non-Buddhists on the purpose and philosophy behind Buddhist rites and rituals in order to make it meaningful and understandable to lay people and the uninitiated.

Session 1: History & Philosophy of Buddhist Chants & Practices Date: 10 November 2020 Synopsis: This session explains some basic Buddhist practices, why they emerged and what are the purpose behind these practices.

Session 2: Regular Dharma Ceremony Date: 17 November 2020 Synopsis: This session details the various rituals done during regular dharma ceremony and the meaning behind them

Session 3: Standard Parts in Buddhist Ceremony Date: 24 November 2020 Synopsis: This session explains the different parts of the dharma ceremony, including the instruments used and the movements involved.
