Zenon holds a Bachelor Degree of Science (major in mathematics and minor in computer programming applications) and a Diploma in Education, both awarded by the National University of Singapore. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Leicester, UK.
Zenon was also based in Jakarta, Indonesia, when he was appointed as the Principal/Chief Operating Officer of a Singapore school, offering Singapore-based curriculum to local primary and secondary school students.
His background was primarily in the education and training sectors. He started his career with the Ministry of Education as a full-time teacher/lecturer of a junior college. Prior to retirement, his last employment was Director of academic services at a local university in Singapore.
As the HR Director (Learning), Zenon was responsible for all corporate training and learning services while he was with Singapore Telecommunications Limited (SingTel).
He was also formerly the Executive Director of Shan You Counselling Centre, a voluntary welfare organisation founded by Buddhists in Singapore. The Centre provides family counselling services to the community regardless of race, religion and affordability.
Zenon was a recipient of the NSmen of the Year Award 2002 when he was Deputy Commanding Officer, Sembawang Air Base.
