Professor Pierce Salguero is a trans-disciplinary scholar of health humanities, specialising in the historical and contemporary intersections between Buddhism, medicine, and cross-cultural exchange. He holds a Ph.D. in History of Medicine from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and teaches at Penn State University’s Abington College. His work is internationally recognised for bridging the worlds of Buddhist studies, medical history, and global health.
